A Message from Tim Goodfellow, Chairman, Heartland House Board of Directors

Greetings and a very Happy Fall to all of our Heartland House friends,

There is incredible excitement in and around Heartland House these days. While our team of staff and directors continually strives to make us the absolute best at what we do, the things we are working on today are mind-blowing.

We are demonstrating unprecedented levels of transparency and self-evaluation. Our staff have committed to capturing and conveying key measures of performance and demographic data that allow them to identify and implement improvements in every aspect of the operation of an effective recovery facility.

We are using AI to its fullest as a diagnostic, counseling and administrative asset that make our outstanding team even better at helping men find lasting sobriety.

In response to what is a dire need in our region for sober living space, we have acquired an apartment building on our street that will yield 16 more beds for men in that critical time of transition between their residential treatment and their incorporation into society as productive citizens.

Meanwhile, we are in the midst of a substantial electrical system improvement effort that the staff is accommodating with the levels of flexibility and resourcefulness that make me proud to be a part of this amazing organization.

As we  approach the end of 2025, I want every friend of Heartland House to know that we value your support and do our level best each day to earn it; and I ask humbly that you consider a donation to Heartland House to help us continue as a vital source of recovery for men in the San Diego region.
