Isaac Arrizon, Care Coordinator

Isaac Arrizon came to Heartland House in May 2023. Starting as a Substance Abuse Counselor, Isaac has expanded his capabilities to include those of Care Coordinator. In his dual role, Isaac provides individual and group counseling; and supports clients in myriad ways that include setting all manner of client service appointments, ensuring that clients’ legally mandated requirements are met, assisting with insurance matters and continuing education needs.

Isaac is San Diegan, having moved here after spending his early childhood years in Nayarit, Mexico. He is a graduate of Hoover High School with an associate’s degree in accounting as well as an associate’s degree of transfer in preparation for seeking a four-year degree. Isaac is also a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor.

When asked what attracted him to work at Heartland House, Isaac said that in his interviews he noted a spirit of teamwork and close alignment with his own values that compelled him to join the team. He went on to say that he continues to be impressed with how the team builds consensus and listens to every member’s voice when determining the best way to treat each client.

Isaac is driven to learn and earn more qualifications in his chosen profession. He intends to become either a therapist or licensed clinical social worker and has applied for admittance to San Francisco State University to study psychology; and to Cal State San Marcos to potentially study in their Social Work Program.

During his 18 months here, Isaac has proven himself to be a selfless and hard-working individual and an integral part of the Heartland House team. We’re delighted that he chose to come to us.
