Storage Shed Fundraiser

In 2018, Heartland House ran a fundraiser for the installation of two heavy-duty storage sheds. Our current sheds, as you can see, had served us well but had outlived their service life. And because we were (and still are!) growing and expanding, we needed more space to store dry goods, cleaning gear, toiletries, and other supplies. One new shed would be used to store these items that we have purchased in bulk, which saves us a considerable amount of money. The other would be used to store our ground maintenance equipment, which would be used for general landscape maintenance as well as the vegetable gardens and soon-to-be-planted fruit trees in support of our efforts to become more self-sustaining.

Your donations toward our new storage sheds helped us continue to spend more of our existing funds on the high-quality services that we provide to our clients. Private donations are essential to our operation, and we were in great need of these storage sheds. We had carefully shopped for a model that best combines durability and economy.

Due to the generosity of all of our supporters, we met our goals and were able to obtain two new heavy-duty storage sheds! One of the storage sheds is now being used to store dry goods, cleaning gear, toiletries, and other supplies, saving us a considerable amount of money. The other is now being used to store our ground maintenance equipment, which is being used for general landscape maintenance as well as the vegetable gardens and soon-to-be-planted fruit trees in support of our efforts to become more self-sustaining.

These fundraisers do work, and goals are obtained, and items purchased! It is important for us to show progress and gratitude toward our donors. We want you to know when we run fundraisers like this, we do a lot of research, set very specific financial goals, and set expectations for the outcome.

Thanks to the success of campaigns like this, we are able to save some money that we can now put toward our service program and help our clients. We also know we will be able to raise more funds and run more campaigns in the future because of generous donors.
