A letter from Rick Trepte, Heartland House Board Member
Greetings to all our Heartland House friends,
My name is Rick Trepte, and I have been a member of the Board of Directors of Heartland House since 2015. I proudly serve on this board because, like my fellow board members, I am committed to our mission of helping men with substance use and co-occurring disorders to become productive citizens. We see the deeply harmful, heartbreaking impacts of substance abuse disorders on individuals, families, and society, and we make it our goal to provide an environment conducive to sobriety and recovery.
Along with overseeing the operations and budget of our organization, we are a working board whose members regularly lend their professional expertise to augment our staff’s efforts in such areas as finance, public relations, and strategic planning. My background is in construction design and project management, and I work with Heartland House staff and contractors to complete a variety of improvements to our facilities. The latest of these was our recently completed main house kitchen and accessible restroom project (see photos in this edition).
My fellow board members and I consider it a privilege to donate our skills to the Heartland House mission. As the end of the year approaches, we are asking all our friends and past supporters to consider donating what you can to help Heartland House continue to provide the degree of quality services for which we are known. When you give to Heartland House, you are supporting an efficient and resourceful team that leverages the skills of everyone, board members and staff alike.
On behalf of Heartland House, please accept our sincere thanks for everything you have done for us, along with our best wishes for a joyous holiday season,
Sincerely
Rick Trepte
Board Member
