Greetings from the Heartland House team!

With summer upon us, we are checking in with the latest happenings at the House.

  • Pandemic Update – Through faithful adherence to our specified preventive measures, Heartland House has operated for over two years – since March 2020 – without a Covid outbreak. While we’re proud of this accomplishment, we are also well aware that contraction of Covid 19 and its variants is on a steep rise in San Diego and that consequently San Diego County’s Public Health Order related to Covid prevention remains in effect. It is therefore incumbent upon us to rigorously follow our protocols to mitigate risk to our residents and staff.
  • Main House Improvements to Begin Soon – We have selected a contractor and later this month we will commence construction of major refurbishments to our main house. Long delayed by the pandemic, this project will modernize our kitchen, bath and bedroom spaces as well as our multi-functional patio. We anticipate that the project will be completed by the end of September, meaning just in time for…….
  • The Heartland House Annual Gala – If you haven’t done so yet, mark your calendar for October 1, 2022 when we will celebrate 62 years serving San Diego men with substance use disorder. Here’s more on the Gala:
